Chapter 64: Arrest that Loser

After several dates at the same park, Nol and Pablo exchange rings and are married. Neither of them feel a huge party is in order.

Paz isn't comfortable with a loser marrying her daughter. Nol was a straight A student, after all, and Pablo was a straight C student.

Pablo is determined to break free of the loser-ness that has stalked him through life.

Nol and Pablo celebrate their marriage in France.

They plan to see the countryside, but waste most of the trip in their room.

It's not a strict pleasure trip, though. Here Pablo checks in with the secret thieves guild under the nectary, but has a difficult time opening the secret door.

Curse Pablo's boss. Pablo is to bring back something from a tomb, or he's done for.

There are no vacations from this business.

At this point in Pablo's career, Nol is a better sneak than he is.

The trip to France is short and yields no gnomes - only some gems and broken pottery. Once home, Nol redecorates her room in her favorite color, turning it into "the love pad."

The mood is slightly ruined by Paz, who constantly checks up on the science center via the computer, even after retirement.

The other side of the room still has Kimberly's wolf light. Nol just can't get rid of it. She misses her sister a lot.

Pablo buys a trampoline with his promotion money.

Paz wakes up to find Z cleaning the fish tank.

THE GHOSTS ARE ON FIRE.

Pablo to the rescue!

Never mind this is his fault for tinkering away the fireproof upgrade and replacing it with auto-light.

Defeating the fire makes Pablo feel like a winner.

Paz remembers when Zephram wanted to be a doctor, and snidely reminds him of it during one of his episodes.

Nol becomes pregnant as planned.

"I'll have twins probably," she whines. "So you'd better not get yourself killed at work."

"Honey, have you SEEN me on the treadmill lately? I am a beast."

Yeah, what was she worried about?

Aside from the fact that Pablo gets himself caught by police and spends every other night in jail, and endures terrible pranks from his coworkers (like that time they left the nozzle on the water cooler upside down, making it look like Pablo pissed his pants when he turned it on), and regularly fails to prevent Dirk Daring from breaking free of his chains and disabling the evil laser device (okay, letting Dirk Daring escape was intentional, but boy did Pablo ever get it from the boss).... ...life's pretty normal.

Chad spends some time with Nol and his unborn grandchild. Nol's brother and sister have already had children, ensuring Chad's genes will be in the town for quite a while.

Chad tries to spend his time wisely with his family.

Waiting for Pablo and Nol to return from the hospital, Paprika kisses the flower light. She's strange.

Nol and Pablo have a daughter, named Ashby. Pablo snaps a picture. It'll last longer.

Pablo has always wanted to be a father - a better father than his own, who could never stand to look at him. So he'd better stop getting arrested.

Most of the child care falls to Pablo, since his wife can get so caught up in fantasy.

Ditto for Zephram.

And there are books to write.  She'd take a break if she knew she was neglecting her daughter, but why let her know?

Will Paz assume child care, if Pablo gets arrested?

She's busy designing a greenhouse. Leave her be.

Etc.: The roll for generation 8 is couple, 3 kids (AGAIN), firefighter primary income, private investigator secondary income, perfect children (cringe), and random traits.

Ashby has random traits. That part will be easy. She got brave and hates art. Brave is good. I've already done a male firefighter when I first got Ambitions, and he was awesome, so I'm going to name Ashby the heir so I have a female one this time.
