Chapter 14: Strict Rules

Sacha becomes a child.

Mastering the blocks game was very easy.

Sacha doesn't understand how it will translate to useful skills as an adult, but Leona assures her it will...

She finds herself sleeping in Grandpa's room sometimes, but it's only comforting if he's actually there. He can't save her from the clowns or dragons if he's down the hall surfing the Internet.

As a child, Sacha's vampire abilities have not fully developed. She can play in the sun (despite a preference to wait for the school bus in the shade here), and luckily she still draws nourishment from cooked meals. Randy wasn't clear on the specifics of vampire aging, so he kept up that plasma fruit bush... which would be great, since Sacha has cravings for blood... but one of Leona's rules is that all food must be properly prepared and sterilized before consumption. This process completely ruins plasma fruit, making it not worth eating, except for in pancakes. Perhaps if Leona owned the same equipment as the Plasma Juice Company?

Sacha salutes Randy for his effort, anyway.

Leona watches a televised celebrity marriage.

Ah, but love seems to elude her.

She tells herself she is a hardened military woman.

Sacha masters the use of her toy oven and badly wants to play with the rest of the kitchen.

Fiona moved into the beautiful house next door. She's given birth to twin girls, Halen and Zoya.

Leona can't resist giving her sister's stove an inspection.

Sacha comes from a home where everyone is a shut-in. Randy is happy with the Internet, and Leona only cares about reaching the top of her career. Leona's only maintained relationship outside of her family is with her boss. She keeps telling him she's ready to be an astronaut for science, but he seems to think she needs to experience the toils of fighter piloting first.

Though mainly a solitary creature herself, Sacha tries to make time for the other children in the neighborhood. Unlike her, they tend to be loud, wild and obnoxious. Edwardo Quick, the son of local high school teacher Damaris Quick and one of Leona's underlings, is known for telling lies about how he is a famous child actor in disguise. Sacha isn't sure if she buys it, given his mediocre performance in the school play, Stinky Bugs.

Damaris is already an elder, as is Edwardo's estranged  father. Planning ahead to have someone to care for her son, Damaris adopted Alana Beck-Broke's son, Tim, after his parents' breakup and passing. Tim's father didn't appreciate a literal surprise red-headed daughter, Patricia, who was shipped off to the remainder of Maximus's family upon Alana's death. Tim's father shouldn't have been surprised that a truly hardened criminal like Alana would only really have been interested in another criminal.

Now a teen, Tim looks a lot like his mother.

"Grandpa," Sacha complains, "the other kids at school are weird."

                                                                                             "Don't go to school."

Such a great influence.

Some kitchen time, part of the Everyday Moments photography collection.

These caramel brownies taste great. Sacha will need to remember this recipe when she's older.

Leona won't let Sacha eat too many sweets.

Leona ages up to adult, with Sacha and Patricia cheering on. By this time Sacha has overcome her friend problems, sort of; Patricia is her best friend.

Patricia wonders why there isn't cake.

Sacha frowns. "Well... Mom doesn't.. um... trust... the cake manufacturers."

Humiliated in front of her best friend, Sacha is inspired to rebel and autonomously snatch Plasma Juice.

Sacha has achieved perfection! More or less. All that's left is her teen job. Level 3 won't be hard to get to if she's kept in a good mood. With 3 sims in the house and no small children, juggling the mood bars isn't difficult.

  1. I was lucky that Roxanne Broke looked nice, she had rather bland parents, and only her nose was a little funny (but I don't like fixing small quirks like that because in real life people aren't all perfect maniquins (sp?).)
